Untitled 3

Untitled 3, 64.5 x 93 cm (25.4 x 36.6 in), 옻지에 호분과 먹 Ink and Paris White on Lacquered Paper, 2022

This painting was initially done without the splash when I did Sir.Rabbit playing with the idea of ‘Moonbaedo’.
‘Moonbaedo’ is a traditional painting that used to be displayed at the entrance wall of the building to expel the bad spirit in old Korea. The subject was usually a tiger to scare off the demon.

토선생_Sir.Rabbit, 50 x 73cm, Color on Lacquered Korean Paper, 2020

I painted a white gun and never finished it until I started the splash element on my painting in 2022. This painting is finished by adding the milky splash expanding the landscape of the notion of the subject together with Chuk, Pung series.
