This kind of citron is called ‘Bulsugam’ meaning ‘Buddha’s hand’ in Korean. The unusual shape of the fruit resembles Buddha’s hands holding for praying. It has meaning of ‘One’s wish comes true’.
On the bowl it says In(仁, benevolence) and Ui(義, righteousness), reading right to left.
